This is a junmai-shu with a strong personality; it boasts an excellent balance between rich aroma and tartness, which is characteristic of yamahai-style sake. Its yamabuki color (yellowish orange) is pleasing to the eye as well.

A bowl-shaped sake cup is recommended to bring out the sake's umami and sweetness. Earthenware and porcelain cups match well, too.
It pairs well with fish dishes that use butter or cream, chicken skewers (with tare sauce), and roast beef. Others include simmered dishes and simmered fish.
