Since ancient times, four mythological gods are said to represent the four directions: the Black Turtle of the North, the Vermillion Bird of the South, the Azure Dragon of the East, and the White Tiger of the West. This sake is named for the Azure Dragon of the east. Azumaryu Junmai Ginjo has a large illustration of the dragon that holds a cintamani (a wish-fulfilling jewel).
The sake is characterized by its crispness and a refreshing flavor.
It was awarded a Gold Medal at the Fine Sake Awards Japan 2018 (wine glass sake).
