This is a clean-flavored sake one can never get tired of. It pairs well with Japanese dishes like Kyoto cuisine and obanzai (traditional home dishes from Kyoto).
The sake is bottled into tokkuri (ceramic flask for sake) with illustrations of bijinga ("pictures of beautiful women") by Isoda Mataichiro, a famous Nihonga ("Japanese-style painting") artist known for his posters for Miyako Odori.
It is popular as a gift abroad.

A bowl-shaped sake cup is recommended to bring out the sake's umami and sweetness. Earthenware and porcelain cups match well, too.
Pairs well with oden (a type of hot pot), chicken skewers, simmered fish, and bold-flavored dishes.
