The Shimeharitsuru series is produced by a brewery that has been around for 200 years. The brewery pioneered junmai-shu production in Japan with Jun in the 1970s. Since its establishment, the brewery has placed the utmost value on product quality, and accordingly, this sake is made with sincere approach to sake brewing and the expertise in junmai-shu production gained over many years. Having been ranked first for 22 consecutive years in the Japan-wide Sake Popularity Ranking, this is a junmai-shu that represents Japan.

A bowl-shaped sake cup is recommended to bring out the sake's umami and sweetness. Earthenware and porcelain cups match well, too.
