Kishogura Umeshu is made with satsuma potato shochu and rock sugar in order to create Kagoshima prefecture′s good old umeshu. It is made with an undiluted honkaku potato shochu called Kishogura, which is made in earthenware crocks with kuro koji (black koji). This umami-rich umeshu with no additives has 17% alcohol content.
